In appreciation of the hard work and dedication demonstrated by our colleagues over the past year, Fubon Group held a grand Appreciation Party today (11th) on the first and fourth floors of the Nangang Exhibition Center. The event featured performances by renowned singer-songwriters Wei Li An and Hsiao Ching Teng. Moreover, members of the Fubon Guardians, including Zhang Yi, Jiang Guo Hao, Dai Pei Feng, Gao Guo Hui, Lin Jia Yi, and Gao Ting Yao, have joined over 15,000 Fubon colleagues for a spirited celebration at the Nangang Exhibition Center.

This year's Appreciation Party of the Fubon Group was led by Tsang Po Yee, a well-known host from the Golden Bell Awards, who was joined by Fubon Guardians’ members Anu, Travis, and Zhenzhen, creating a stellar hosting lineup. The event not only showcased impressive performances by various artists but also featured a collaborative performance by Fubon colleagues, who formed the "SING Super Star" group, along with Fubon Guardians’ players and Fubon Angels, highlighting the dynamic energy of the Fubon Group. The Appreciation Party of the Fubon Group centered around the theme "Green Power: Leading the Way in Tree Planting," which aligns with the concept of sustainability. This event included a warm-up activity titled "National Online Run-Fubon People PK Competition," during which the "Fubon Running King" and "Fubon Unity Award" were presented to motivate Fubon colleagues to participate in tree planting activities and promote carbon reduction for the benefit of the Earth.
Richard M. Tsai, Chairman of Fubon Financial Holdings, indicated in his opening remarks that upon reflecting on the year 2024, it is evident that the global economy has been greatly affected by international inflation, an energy crisis, and increasing geopolitical tensions, all of which pose serious challenges for the financial industry. Nonetheless, Fubon Financial Holdings has achieved remarkable profitability and set a historical record with net income of NT$151.16 billion. This marks the sixteenth consecutive year that it has retained the title of the highest earnings per share in Taiwan's financial holding industry. Each subsidiary continues to show stable growth and provides high-quality financial products along with outstanding customer service.
Richard M. Tsai pointed out that Fubon Financial Holdings is achieving notable operational success while also making considerable advancements in its Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives. The company's various investments and achievements have garnered recognition both domestically and internationally. Fubon has been included in the “Dow Jones World Index” for eight consecutive years and has also been part of the “Dow Jones Sustainability Emerging Markets Index” for nine consecutive years. Furthermore, the company was recognized by “TIME” as one of the inaugural Global 500 Sustainable Companies. Fubon Financial Holdings regards its employees as its most important partners and has been enhancing employee maternity benefits in recent years. As of January 1 of 2025, the company has fully upgraded its Employee Stock Ownership Trust and aims to create a comprehensive and supportive workplace environment.

Daniel M. Tsai, Chairman of Fubon Group, expressed his gratitude to the Fubon colleagues during the Appreciation Party. He noted that, whether in the core financial operations or in areas such as sustainable development and charitable initiatives, Fubon has delivered impressive results in 2024. Looking towards 2025, Mr. Tsai encourages all colleagues to stay committed to their roles while also pursuing the development of digital innovation skills and strengthening sustainability initiatives. He hopes that colleagues will actively explore and learn new technologies to increase work efficiency and incorporate sustainable practices into their daily routines and contribute to the well-being of the Earth through their own efforts by joining the "Earth Team."

Daniel M. Tsai has indicated that the Run For Green™ initiative, launched by Fubon in 2021, is a pioneering effort that integrates sports with sustainability. Runners who accumulate 40 kilometers in the four major marathons and designated events will have trees planted by Fubon. Up to now, nearly 300,000 individuals have participated in this initiative, which has led to the claiming of more than 100,000 trees. This accomplishment has enabled Fubon to meet its goal of planting 100,000 trees in Taiwan five years ahead of schedule.

Upholding the principle of "taking from society and giving back to society," Fubon Group consistently seeks to amplify its positive impact while actively engaging with the community. The Fubon Art Museum, which has been developed through a decade of commitment by Fubon, officially opened its doors in May 2024. It has already begun to feature notable international exhibitions, including those of Rodin and Van Gogh, reflecting Fubon’s long-standing dedication to the arts and culture. As the New Year approaches, the Fubon Charity Foundation is delighted to contribute NT$13.25 million to the Genesis Foundation for the ninth year in a row. This substantial donation is intended to infuse warmth into the New Year celebrations and assist the underprivileged and vegetative patients in enjoying the holiday season.

Fubon, recognized as a leading supporter of sports in the country, extended a notable invitation to the members of the Fubon Guardians championship team at this year's Appreciation Party of Fubon Group. The team's hitting coach, Kao Kuo Hui, graciously presented a signed commemorative baseball as a gesture of gratitude for Fubon's steadfast support of both the players and the support staff and shared this achievement with Fubon colleagues.

The Appreciation Party of Fubon Group has been planned to feature lively dance and music acts by colleagues, with a well-designed stage for showcasing their skills. In 2024, the company kicked off its first singing contest, "SING Fubon," lasting two months. After several rounds, winners have been chosen by a panel of respected judges, including famous music producer Chen Zi Hong, dance instructor Rambo, and music producer Wu Zheng Yi. The event has been streamed live to over 5,000 colleagues, and the winners performed at the appreciation event, reflecting the talent and enthusiasm of Fubon colleagues, in line with the brand spirit of "Be positive All possible."

The 2024 Appreciation Party organized by Fubon Group was held in two distinct locations: Taipei and Kaohsiung. The Taipei event was conducted today, January 11, while the Kaohsiung celebration occurred on January 4. The Kaohsiung event featured exceptional performances by Accusefive and Tanya Chua, which received enthusiastic feedback from colleagues. In total, around 18,800 colleagues attended the Appreciation Party at both venues, with a combined prize pool of approximately NT$23.7 million and a notable winning probability of 70%. This year, additional red envelopes were distributed in advance of the Lunar New Year to show appreciation for the hard work of all colleagues throughout the year.
