FUBON Talks Works Together with Employees to Build a Sustainable and Prosperous Living Environment

Fubon Group is committed to sustainable development, focusing on ESG in the long term. To encourage employees to unleash innovative thinking and embed a culture of sustainability within the company, Fubon Group held FUBON Talks on April 30th. Daniel M. Tsai, Chairman of Fubon Group, and Richard M. Tsai, Chairman of Fubon Financial Holdings, personally attended to lead employees in creating a sustainable future together!

FUBON Talks is a significant internal event held annually by Fubon Group. Both Daniel M. Tsai, Chairman of Fubon Group, and Richard M. Tsai, Chairman of Fubon Financial Holdings, attend the event every year. This time, they have invited Niven Huang, Managing Director of KPMG Taiwan Sustainability, Xiong Yili, Head of CommonWealth Sustainability, and Zhang Zhi Qi, the YouTube celebrity with a million subscribers, to serve as judges. FUBON Talks revolves around Fubon's four major sustainable strategy visions: decarbonization, digitalization, empowerment, and connection. It is being held at Eslite Performance Hall for the first time, providing an opportunity for every participating employee of the group to take the spotlight and become the main character in the group's ESG issues. Moreover, this year's FUBON Talks is the first to be fully accessible through live streaming, allowing the public to experience and join Fubon in addressing sustainable issues.

Daniel M. Tsai, Chairman of Fubon Group, stated that Fubon has been deeply rooted in Taiwan for over 63 years. April marks the birthday month of Fubon Group, and we have chosen this time to hold an important event for the group - Fubon Talks. Over the years, we have expected all companies within the group to implement sustainable operations, and we hope to integrate ESG into the daily work of over 73,000 employees in the group, further leveraging individual influence to bring about a positive impact on the group and society. Through the annual Fubon Talks, we hope that colleagues can also contribute to sustainable business practices from their own areas of expertise.

Richard M. Tsai, Chairman of Fubon Financial Holdings, has stated that Fubon Financial Holdings has fully launched the "Sustainable ESG Vision Project" since 2015. Starting in 2021, the focus has been on the four major ESG strategic pillars of "decarbonization, digitalization, empowerment, and connection." This year, Fubon Talks continues the theme of the four ESG strategies, aiming to gather employee ideas, stimulate innovative energy, and enhance capabilities through the FUBON Talks. This will further implement ESG concepts into work and daily life.

FUBON Talks has evolved from the long-standing Fubon Speech Contest. This year, there was enthusiastic participation from various companies within the Fubon Group. After internal selections in each company, a total of 12 colleagues from the group took the stage at FUBON Talks in the individual category; in the team category, 10 groups of company teams signed up, and after the preliminary screenings, 3 teams emerged and progressed to the FUBON Talks venue. This year, the Fubon Group allowed external audiences to support Fubon Talks through live streaming, attracting nearly three thousand viewers online, highlighting the public's high regard for the Fubon Group's ESG efforts. In the future, the Fubon Group will continue its mission of sustainable operation, providing platforms and activities like Fubon Talks for colleagues to showcase sustainable proposal creativity, working together with employees to achieve more sustainable possibilities for the company and society!
