Fubon Financial Holdings has been recognized for its commitment to ESG management and has won three international awards! Fubon Financial Holdings has been selected as a constituent of the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index (DJSI World) for seven consecutive years and a constituent of the Dow Jones Sustainability Emerging Markets Index for eight consecutive years. With this ESG score, the company ranked in the top 10% of the global insurance industry and was selected as No.7 in the DJSI Global Sustainability Yearbook 2024 among nearly 10,000 assessed companies worldwide. Fubon Financial Holdings has also been recognized as an A-Leader in the 2023 CDP Climate Change Rating, the fourth consecutive year of leadership since 2020. Meanwhile, Fubon Financial Holdings has once again been ranked in the Global 500 Sustainability Perceptions Index by “Brand Finance” this year, and is the only financial holding company in Taiwan to make the list for two consecutive years which demonstrates that Fubon Financial Holdings’ effectiveness in promoting climate change has been recognized internationally.

CDP is the world's most significant non-profit rating organization in the environmental field, and the number of rated companies continues to grow, with more than 23,000 worldwide companies rated in 2023. To achieve CDP's Leadership Rating, companies must establish institutionalized governance and risk management processes, set aggressive carbon reduction targets and action plans, and meet CDP's high standards for completeness and transparency of information disclosure.
In 2023, Fubon Financial Holdings received the highest rating of "A" in 7 out of 12 aspects of the CDP, including: business and strategy and situational analysis, carbon reduction actions and low carbon products, climate governance, asset portfolio impact, risk management process, Scope 1 and Scope 2 carbon emissions, and carbon reduction targets, demonstrating that Fubon Financial Holdings’ efforts to actively promote climate action as a leader in climate finance have been recognized internationally.
In addition, Fubon Financial Holdings has passed the Science Based targets (SBT) in September 2022 and become a member of RE100 to implement carbon reduction in its operations with high international standards. In June 2023, Fubon Financial Holdings announced that its subsidiaries, Taipei Fubon Bank, Fubon Insurance and Fubon Securities, signed a 4,391,000 kWh green power procurement contract with Pau Cheng Energy Corp., a subsidiary of green power company INA Energy Corp. in order to move towards the goal of fully utilizing green power in all of Fubon's domestic and overseas operational locations by 2040. A total of 91 operational locations and 122 meters of Fubon's subsidiaries will synchronize with the use of solar power. This is the first green power introduction case in which a number of subsidiaries of Fubon Financial Holding Co. have jointly planned, uniformly procured, and synchronized the transfer of green power supply, and it also sets a record for the largest number of locations and meters covered by green power procurement by a single financial institution in Taiwan.
