In order to recognize those who have made significant contributions to Taiwanese society, Fubon Group established the “Wan-Tsai Tsai Taiwan Contribution Award” in 2015, which is held every two years, and is officially entering its 10th year this year. Fubon Group announced that the 5th term Wan-Tsai Tsai Taiwan Contribution Award is now open for applications till June 30th of this year. Non-profit organizations, academic research institutions, and schools at all levels with legal status are eligible to nominate individual or group who has made significant contributions to Taiwanese society over the long term.

According to Fubon Group, the “Wan-Tsai Tsai Taiwan Contribution Award” is a biennial award organized by the Tsai family in memory of the former Chairman Wan-Tsai Tsai’s spirit of "take from society and give back to society", with two (or a group of) winners selected each term in the hope of rewarding those who have outstanding performance in various fields and have made significant contributions to the Taiwanese society, in order to positively promote the positive power of society. Over the past four terms, the list of award recipients has included individuals and organizations which included Hsiao-Hsien Hou and Ang Lee, internationally renowned directors, Shan-Chwen Chang, Vice President of National Taiwan University, Mennonite Christian Hospital, Ming Ju, founder of Juming Museum, Jin-Chuan Hsu, Chairman of Liver Disease Prevention and Treatment Research Foundation, Hwai-Min Lin, founder of Cloud Gate and Sister Ching-Lien Tang, CEO of the Good Shepherd Social Welfare Foundation which have spanned a wide range of fields such as art and culture, healthcare, and philanthropy in order to recognize their outstanding performances in the field.

In the post-pandemic era, global inflation and pressure from central banks to raise interest rates have weakened market end-demand, and geopolitical conflicts have also posed a threat to corporate operation. However, Taiwan's various industries have continued to work together to keep society on a normal track, and the forces of good from all sides have been able to reach those in need immediately. Fubon Group is grateful for these spontaneous positive forces and hopes that non-profit organizations and academic research institutes with legal status will recommend individuals or groups that meet the requirements for this award.
