Taipei Fubon Bank Awarded Best Retail Online Banking Experience - Taiwan by The Asset

Taipei Fubon Bank's digital banking innovations were once again recognized by the world! After claiming "The Best Internet Bank - Taiwan" from Global Banking and Finance Review and "2017 Best Back-office System Innovation and Technology in Taiwan" from Euromoney in the beginning of the year, Taipei Fubon Bank once again won "Best Retail Online Banking Experience - Taiwan" from The Asset for the innovative and seamless design of its digital banking platform, making Taipei Fubon Bank the only company in Taiwan to win this award.

"Best Retail Online Banking Experience" is a new award recently introduced by "The Asset" to recognize achievements in digital banking. Some of the assessment indicators used include: user experience, innovative service, project feature etc. Taipei Fubon Bank's "Tuition Loan" service section introduced in August 2016 was the achievement that won it the Best Retail Online Banking Experience award amidst other competing banks in Taiwan. This project was awarded mainly for its customer-centric design that delivers seamless experience regardless of the device, operating system or browser used, for which it received overwhelming good reviews from the jury and customers.

Taipei Fubon Bank commented that, in order to provide customers with a friendly digital banking experience, the bank has adopted the responsive web design (RWD) to create next-generation digital service that works seamlessly "across devices and operating systems." The new "Tuition Loan" service section provides customers the ultimate "one-stop" loan application service from frontline, mid-office to the back-end. In addition to applying, inquiring and changing personal loan applications online, Taipei Fubon Bank also made loan renewal and post-lending services available over the Internet. Customers that meet the renewal criteria can simply renew loans online without having to visit branches in person for the due diligence process. Other requests such as postponement and early repayment may also be completed online, and thereby saving a significant amount of customers' time.

Having considered the fact that most tuition loan applicants are from the younger age group, Taipei Fubon Bank adopted a brighter, more dynamic and concise design for the "Tuition Loan" service section, and incorporated the use of illustrations to help explain terms of the tuition loan. As a result, applicants are able to learn all procedures and the latest information on tuition loans, and complete their applications entirely over the online platform. It was a successful attempt at delivering the best online application experience by adopting the language and environment that young people are accustomed to.

The recent rise in digital trends has inspired Taipei Fubon Bank to introduce innovative digital services based on customers' needs, and build a series of digital service platforms including mobile banking, Internet banking, portal, and tuition loan system. Other new services such as card-less cash withdrawal, HCE credit card etc have also won good reviews from customer.
